Bienvenue en Normandie… Sur les traces du 6 juin 1944

Terre d’histoire et de mémoire, la Normandie vous ouvre ses plages, ses falaises et ses villages pour un voyage unique au cœur de l’un des événements les plus marquants du XXe siècle : le Débarquement du 6 juin 1944.

Je vous propose des visites guidées immersives sur les plages du D-Day, où se sont joués les premiers actes de la libération de l’Europe. Que vous soyez passionné d’histoire, curieux d’en apprendre davantage, ou désireux d’honorer la mémoire des soldats alliés, J’ai conçu des circuits qui vous offriront une expérience authentique, émouvante et enrichissante.

Je suis un guide passionné et expérimenté, et c’est avec grand plaisir que je vous ferai découvrir les sites emblématiques tels qu’Omaha Beach, Utah Beach, Gold Beach, Juno Beach et Sword Beach, mais aussi des lieux moins connus, riches en récits et en émotions. Chaque visite est ponctuée d’anecdotes historiques afin de mieux vous faire revivre les heures décisives du Jour J.

Les visites que je propose s’adressent à tous : particuliers, familles, passionnés d’histoire militaire… Je mets à votre disposition des formules à la demi-journée, à la journée complète, adaptées à vos envies et à votre rythme.

A propos de moi…

Je suis François Gosselin. Je suis né et j’ai grandi à Caen, capitale de la Basse Normandie. J’ai également vécu 17 ans en Angleterre: Londres, Leamington et Coventry. C’est durant ce long séjour que j’ai appris l’anglais.

Toute ma famille, à part mon grand père paternel, est originaire de Normandie et était dans la région de Caen pendant les deux mois et demi que nous appelons désormais : « La Bataille de Normandie ». J’ai grandi en apprenant d’une génération qui a survécu à ces événements et j’ai compris l’impact que cela a eu sur leur vie. Je me souviens très bien quand j’étais enfant lors de réunions de famille, écoutant durant des heures mes grands parents, oncles et tantes parlant de l’occupation Allemande, des bombardements, des souffrances et enfin la libération si longtemps attendue des forces Alliées. Je suis également le petit fils d’un grand père républicain espagnol qui a trouvé refuge en France en 1939 après avoir combattu franco durant la guerre civile en Espagne de 1936 à 1939. Fait prisonnier par les Allemands en 1941, il est utilisé comme esclave pour construire le mur de l’atlantique du côté de Royan et arrive à Caen en Août 45 pour travailler pour l’armée Britannique au port de Caen. Il travaille dans le bâtiment par la suite et participe à la reconstruction de la ville de Caen détruit à 70 pour cent.

En tant que jeune homme, j’ai toujours été plus intéressé par l’aspect militaire de l’histoire mais en vieillissant et en mûrissant je suis maintenant plus fasciné par les expériences personnelles de TOUS ces soldats et civils afin d’essayer de comprendre ce que cette génération a enduré. Souvent, les mémoires personnels vous disent et vous racontent beaucoup plus que les récits d’une bataille…
